Here`s a little something about our owner, Charlie Higuera.
Born in 1933. Graduated from Pacific Grove High School in 1953.
Played on PGHS Basketball, Football, Baseball, & Track teams.
Joined the Marine Corps from 1954 thru 1956. Served in Korea.
In 1956 returned home & started working for the
Forest Hill Market as a butcher.

In 1969 the Super Save Market in P.G.was closing down.
So Charlie got together with his partner Dwight
to keep the doors open. It wasn`t easy to start,
but with hard work & dedication the store survived.
Through the years Charlie gives back by
Donating his time, & efforts for the community.
Pony league, PG High School, Girl Scouts, & more.

Today the Market's run by Charlie`s family.
Charlie can be found playing golf when he can,
but his true passion is the store.

He still opens the store, setting the Meat dept. in the morning
& meeting with his many friends or
family who stop by to have coffee.

So if you like stop by, say hi, & shoot the bull,
We`re all one big family to Charlie.

It`s great what you can accomplish when you really try with
all your heart & soul.
