A Mammoth Imperial
The mammoth depicted on the front label of Ed’s Red 2006 A.D. is an Imperial Mammoth (Mammathus imperator). Imperial mammoths were found in North America during the Late Pleistocene period, up until about 15,000 B.C. Standing 16 feet at the shoulder, they were the largest known species of North American mammoth and roamed, presumably with little impediment, from Canada to New Mexico. Outstanding fossil specimens of Imperial Mammoths have been found at the La Brea Tar pits in Southern California
This Week's Pick is  Enjoy the best of life. 2007 PINOT NOIR Good things come in small packages! The 2007 season was one of the driest on record. The result was petite berries due to fewer and smaller cells per berry. With no rain during the growing season the composition of the berries were affected. The result was a lower ratio of juice to skins. The ultimate effect on wine quality was better color and intensity of fruit character, the primary attributes of the skin. |

Hey. Mambo An attractive blend of knock-your-socks-off charisma, this Hey Mambo Sultry Red is hands-down a rare beauty. Our 2006 vintage is a blend of Barbera, Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carignane and Alicante Bouchet grapes. The color of garnet-dyed satin, this wine opens with aromas reminiscent of an old-fashioned five and dime, chocolate granache, red raspberries, cloves and sweet leather. Enticing scents are satisfied by indulging flavors. Blackberry cobbler, holiday plum sauce, espresso, and decadent chocolate unfold into notes of dried herbs and deeply toasted French oak. Rich and alluring, this edition is excellent coupled with a Kobe style beef burger layered with Jack cheese and thinly sliced Vidalia onions, cheese and roasted Poblano enchiladas with roasted corn salsa and Spanish rice, or Creole Jambalaya with prawns, ham and smoked Andouille sausage |

A complex blend of Syrah, Grenache, Petite Syrah, Mourvedre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Frontier Red serves up loads of lush red & black fruit complimented by enticing spice, vanilla and oak notes. On the nose of the Lot 82 Frontier Red you will find aromas of blackberry, huckleberry, boysenberry, smoke, vanilla, cedar and spice. Flavors of black cherry, boysenberry, milk chocolate, cinnamon, black currant and vanilla are found on the palate. You dont have to over-think this wine; simply enjoy this tasty blend with "everyday" cuisine.
